The students were protesting the large budget cuts in education, which resulted in either classes being cut or overcrowding.
Protesters marched from Riley Field, across the Sacramento River and up to the capitol building.
Protests were peaceful with no arrests reported.
The protest was organized by the Student Senate for California Community Colleges. (SSCCC)
