We all know the Mean Girls quote, “In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress up like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it.”
But I’d like to know, do Halloween costumes really have to be so slutty?
I guess I can understand the cost effective aspect of wearing a slutty costume.
You know when you pull out your old Pocahontas costume from the fifth grade and use it as your newly revived sexy costume. I get that you’re saving a good forty dollars, but really, where’s the fun in that?
Remember when we all spent hours making our costumes? This year, I’d like to challenge you ladies to try and be more creative. You’d be surprised to know how much fun you can have when you aren’t constantly worrying about your boobs spilling over your nonexistent bra.
Be something fun and creative. Yes, you can still be sexy without wearing nothing but pasties and underwear. If you’re going to dress sexy, then do it right, ladies. A pretty dress is not Marie Antoinette, lingerie and cat ears do not make you a cat and fishnet stockings make you a hooker, not a policewoman. Let’s class it up and actually try celebrating the holiday, as it should be. It’s Halloween; it should be scary.
